Localization of asciidoctor-pdf built-in strings

Harmyder

I'm trying to localize the document which I build into pdf with asciidoctor-pdf. I know that one can localize built-in strings for asciidoctor using lang attribute like -a lang=uk but it does not work with asciidoctor-pdf.

If this is impossible then maybe there is a guide on how to instruct asciidoctor-xslt-fop toolchain to use a specific font because for now, I'm getting # symbols instead of Cyrillics this way. With asciidoctor-pdf I provide fonts via yml-file.

The lang attribute itself does not control whether localized strings are loaded. It's only meant to be informational. To get the localized strings, you must include one of the files from this directory https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoctor/tree/master/data/locale, which assigns the appropriate attributes. This works regardless of what converter you're using (HTML or PDF).
