Asciidoctor 1.5.0 “Bleeding Heart” released!

The long-awaited release of Asciidoctor 1.5.0 “Bleeding Heart” has arrived at last! This release includes a stockpile of 150 fixes, improvements and enhancements as well as several refinements to the AsciiDoc syntax.

Thank you! And thank you for pushing us. The requirements for the Groovy project stayed in the forefront of my mind throughout the release and drove me to keep pushing the design...and I know there's still more work to do. Just keep clarifying those use cases and we'll get those features done!

Is it already possible to use asciidoctor-diagram together with asciidoctor from the CLI?

When I try it, I get an error message:

gem update asciidoctor
gem install asciidoctor-diagram
asciidoctor -r asciidoctor-diagram first.adoc --trace

Error message:

/Library/Ruby/Site/2.0.0/rubygems/specification.rb:2099:in `raise_if_conflicts': Unable to activate asciidoctor-diagram-1.1.5, because asciidoctor-1.5.0 conflicts with asciidoctor (~> 0.1.4) (Gem::ConflictError)

Anythink I can do as a non-Rubyist?

Looks to me like asciidoctor-diagram has a fixed version dependency on asciidoctor 0.1.4.

As a user there are two things to do:

. Wait for the asciidoctor-diagram update.

. Find the asciidoctor-diagram.gemspec file in your system and change `0.1.4` to `1.5.0` or `=> 0.1.4`

You need to install an Asciidoctor Diagram 1.2.0 preview release to use it with Asciidoctor 1.5.0.

$ gem install asciidoctor-diagram --pre

I've updated the installation guide to reflect this requirement.

Once Asciidoctor Diagram 1.2.0 is released, you won't need to specify the --pre flag as stated in the instructions.

The "relative leveloffset" and "selecting parts of a document to include" improvements are marvelous! For those producing manuals and books, those alone is worth using Asciidoctor instead of the legacy Asciidoc. Sincerely appreciated. Thanks,
