How to use a different directory than imagesdir for images output by asciidoc?

When using asciidoctor-pdf, I notice it generates images for math equations and other things. These images are saved in the imagesdir folder.

- is it possible to direct asciidoc to save the images in some other folder. how?
- or better yet, is it possible to tell asciidoctor-pdf to delete these images after its done generating the pdf?
