Formatting of a SMS/TXT discussion?

I'm writing a piece of fiction using asciidoc. Occasionally the characters have conversations by SMS (text messages).  I'd like to find a good way to format these.

Currently I'm doing something like what you see below. It doesn't look very good but gets the point across.  Any suggestions?

Alice wondered if Bob has any idea what was going on.

* *Alice:* Did you see that?
* *Bob:* Yeah.  Let's meet sooner.

This gave Alice no more confidence.  If anything, it made her more worried.

Or a sidebar with explicit newline: https://imgur.com/WrrN3jk

Thanks!  I like the [horizontal] version the best.

Sadly it only works on HTML.  In PDF mode, it formats differently.

It works for me with PDF: https://imgur.com/OBpvkSK

I don't know for what asciidoctor-pdf version it should work though.

(I use version from github repo)

But I would go with explicit newlines: https://imgur.com/2eJfvda

Here is another option using a table:

[%header,width=50%,cols="1,>1"]
|===
| Alice             | Bob
| Did you see that? |
|                   | Yeah. Let's meet sooner.
|===

Marc.
