In an effort to test the sturdiness of the deck.js backend, I
converted the intro slide deck from the deck.js repository to AsciiDoc (using Asciidoctor shorthand syntax).
You can find it here: https://gist.github.com/mojavelinux/7655050 This should give you a good starting point for creating
deck.js presentations. It also demonstrates how much leaner the AsciiDoc
is when compared to the HTML. But we shouldn't just stop there. If
there's an idea you have for shrinking the source even more, let's do
it! I can attest to the fact that the deck.js backend is in pretty decent shape. Now it's time to get reveal.js in order! |

Charles, I made the video template produce the HTML that Vimeo recommends. Of course, this prevents it from working on Chrome when viewing the presentation through the file: protocol. (You have to serve the current directory through a local http server at least). The reason the // prefix is recommended is because it allows the same HTML to work when served through http or https. Perhaps we could introduce an attribute to indicate the target protocol like in the Servlet API. What attribute name would you suggest? Btw, the reason I didn't add a table or font-based icons is because I was going for an exact replica of the deck.js intro presentation. We can add your suggestions into the sample deck that we provide in the guide on asciidoctor.org. -Dan On Nov 26, 2013 5:02 AM, "ch007m [via Asciidoctor :: Discussion]" <[hidden email]> wrote:
