Yes, the goals here are two fold:
* A common library that handles the bundling of gems (or gem fetcher, if that becomes the approach) that can be used from Java.
* Switch to calling the Asciidoctor API directly rather than using a Ruby script
** If we need changes to Asciidoctor to enable the direct invocation, feel free to suggest them.
