missing difference between asciidoc and asciidoctor in page

ciampix
I think that this page

https://asciidoctor.org/docs/asciidoc-asciidoctor-diffs/

lack one difference between asciidoc and asciidoctor: quotes and
doublequotes are handled differently.

There us no such thing as `` ... '' style of quote in asciidoctor for
example and "' of asciidoctor is unrecognized to asciidoc. See here:

https://docs.asciidoctor.org/asciidoc/latest/text/quotation-marks-and-apostrophes/

That complicate the passage from asciidoc to asciidoctor since one have
to check for these things in the source files and change them
accordingly before switching tool.

Marco,

That page is far from complete and no longer actively maintained. The new docs site is the official source of information about Asciidoctor.

The split from AsciiDoc.py happened over a decade ago. As the proposal for the AsciiDoc Language project states, the official definition for AsciiDoc is what is implemented in Asciidoctor. So it's not really our responsibility to itemize every difference. However, if someone wants to maintain that information, I would certainly support the effort. And that's the page where the information belongs.

Best Regards,

-Dan
