That's exactly what docgist is. See if that fits your requirements. I'd be happy to chat more about it. -Dan p.s. docgist does need some updates, but we plan to get to that soon-ish. Currently, it saves new empty documents in firebase. This is one of the things we need to address because that's not very clear where they are saved. There's no guarantee those files will be preserved over the long run. (see https://github.com/asciidoctor/docgist/issues/30) However, it's very *possible* to enhance docgist to write files to a git repository or GitHub gist (or even your own firebase account). All the groundwork is there. It just needs to be done. -Dan On Thu, Feb 15, 2018 at 3:17 PM, egalitarian [via Asciidoctor :: Discussion] <[hidden email]> wrote: Does it save new empty documents in my github account? We want that for docgist too. It was just overlooked by the previous maintainer. Right now, the files are kept indefinitely, but I don't have access to the firebase account that's holding them, so I can't guarantee it. We just need to transfer ownership over to the Asciidoctor project so that we can add some sort of guarantee. We should use https://github.com/asciidoctor/docgist/issues/30 to track that work. Clearly this was an oversight, but all we can do at this point is take steps to correct it.

I've been meaning to track this down for awhile, but it looks like time has caught up to me. The problem is that the person who set this up never transferred access to the Firebase account to me or the project and has since passed away. I will have to put in an inquiry to see if the information was transferred to a living relative. I can also see if Firebase is willing to migrate the account so that at least people can get in to backup any data stored there. I'll get the process started asap. Technically, docgist still works, and we plan to migrate it to Asciidoctor 1.5.6. It's the integration with Firebase that is currently blocked. But I will do what I can to restore that part, at least for a provisional period (as I think it's time to reevaluate this strategy). -Dan On Thu, Apr 19, 2018 at 9:09 PM, egalitarian [via Asciidoctor :: Discussion] <[hidden email]> wrote: https://gist.asciidoctor.org Dan Allen | @mojavelinux | https://twitter.com/mojavelinux |

The documents in docgist hosted in Firebase (the ones used in the interactive editor) are available again until May 15th. At that time, we'll either need to switch to a new instance or disable that part of docgist. -Dan On Mon, Apr 23, 2018 at 5:15 PM, Dan Allen <[hidden email]> wrote:
