I'm using the "asciidoctor-maven-plugin" in conjunction with the "swagger-maven-plugin" and "swagger2markup-maven-plugin" to convert from swagger json to PDF.
Whilst the PDF generates OK, I have a requirement for the Front Cover and the TOC to have a Header and Footer. The rest of the document (all the other chapters) all have a Header and Footer that is defined in my Theme, but these pages do not. I have tried creating the TOC in two ways - the first as configuration attributes in the maven pom.xml, and also by referencing an .adoc file in the top-level .adoc file - both generate a TOC, and in both instances neither of them have the header and footer. Is this even supported (I think it is, as I have seen a few posts where people have actually tried to "remove" the header and footer from these pages!)? If so, how do I go about specifying that I want a Header and Footer shown on these pages, and define what these should be? Thanks Steve |

Asciidoctor PDF does not currently add the header and footer to table of contents pages. This is standard practices in book publishing, which is why it was implemented this way. -Dan On Wed, Sep 20, 2017 at 8:43 AM, deevodavis [via Asciidoctor :: Discussion] <[hidden email]> wrote: I'm using the "asciidoctor-maven-plugin" in conjunction with the "swagger-maven-plugin" and "swagger2markup-maven-plugin" to convert from swagger json to PDF. ... It is important for me to be able to add headers and footers to the front page and the TOC pages in the PDF output to comply with military publishing standards. I can make it appear on the front page by putting a header and footer in the image but this is not an ideal workaround and it still does not appear on the TOC pages.

Yes, I have a very similar requirement (it's for the aerospace/military industry too).
It would be nice to at least have the option to switch on headers and footers on these pages, even if by default it's switched off for the rest of the community. |

Thanks for your input. Can you please post these comments on the issue as well? That way, we have a record of these requirements with the issue report. -Dan On Thu, Sep 21, 2017 at 2:14 AM, deevodavis [via Asciidoctor :: Discussion] <[hidden email]> wrote: Yes, I have a very similar requirement (it's for the aerospace/military industry too).
