Change bars in Asciidoc-pdf

sylvain-rel
Hello,

Working through asciidoc pdf, I've been able to tweak it in order to print change bars.
It all relies on giving a specific role to the pieces of text that have been changed.
See https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoctor-pdf/issues/1597

Now I'm looking for a code that could, from a patch generated with git diff, insert the balises in the document around the added text.
I'm pretty sure there is nothing complex, but I'm not familiar with Ruby programming. So it would take ages for me to do it on my own.
Is there anyone who have such piece of code in stock or how could provide some support?

Thanks

Are you targeting this only at inline text? We'd like to be able to do this but our changes are often large and cross formatting constructs like paragraphs, sections, tables, etc. so it's always seemed impossible to go from a text diff to the semantic-level knowledge of the document needed to apply those styles everywhere they're needed.

Well, I may haven't considered all the possibilities.
However, I first concern was the text modifications.

After, I bet that knowing the semantic of Asciidoc may help to filter.
