cross reference with parent directory

Hi there,

I'm struggling to create a link to a document residing in a parent directory:
I have tested these :

    test1 <<../README.adoc#>>
    test2 link:../README.html

but none of these work.
Yet, in the parent document, I can do this:

 <<sub/README.adoc#>> 

So, is it that parent directories are not (correctly) resolved ? or am I doing something wrong ?
