Hello,
I am working on the improvement of the asciidoctor maven archetype. I want to include all the icons for the admonitions. I planned to add the ones that are distributed with docbook but I think it would be better to be consistant and use the same as with the asciidoctor documentation. What is the best source for these icons (with a valid license) ? I couldn't find the location of the asciidoctor "standard" ones. Jmm |
They're from font awesome. You should be able to find everything you need on their website (sorry, don't have it memorized, but I'm sure Google does).

I had a look at Font Awesome. This works as a font and I still need to work out how to integrate it in a portable way in my Maven docbook based pipeline.
I was rather looking at colorful jpg or svg to use as a callout icon for admonition. Did I overlook something ? If I am not wrong, in Dan's fopub, the stock docbook pictures are used. Jmm |
Hi! You could just install Font Awesome on your system and then add the glyphs you want to use to SVG files in for example Inkscape. Just remember to use the Object to Path functions on them, see http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/inkscape/ss/Cutting-Machine-Tips_2.htm to make them portable.
I did so, the result is here: It's not exactly what Asciidoctor uses, but similar -- I don't remember what I changed any more :-) Note that you can alter the color by editing the SVG as a text file.
