Where does asciidoc reside on a computer?/How do I run asciidoc?

Hello, all!
Sorry for a dumb question, but I really can't find an answer to it (probably it's too basic).
I have installed Asciidoc as follows:
1. Install Ruby
2. gem install asciidoc
The installation was successful.
Now I want to disable safe mode to allow it to include files on the net, and can't find the config file. Nor can I find the asciidoc location. Could you please say where it is and explain what exactly I need to do to edit these properties?

PS: I also tried running Asciidoc using the command line but to no avail, it wouldn't find the program on the computer.

Thank you for your help!

In this community, you'd use:

gem install asciidoctor

I don't know anything about the asciidoc gem (probably just a wrapper around AsciiDoc Python).

You should then follow the docs at http://asciidoctor.org/docs/.

If you have a specific question after studying some of that material, don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers,
