Just to ward off any confusion, I want to clarify something.

We (the Asciidoctor leadership, represented by OpenDevise) are submitting a proposal for the AsciiDoc language specification to the Eclipse Foundation. While Asciidoctor (core) is prepared to be the reference implementation, this in no way means that **Asciidoctor** as a project is moving to the Eclipse Foundation. It's likely core will be mirrored there if does become the reference implementation (as required by the specification process). But this does not impact the rest of the ecosystem, or our current development model.

We will, of course, keep you informed of any news as we become aware of it. But that should hopefully clarify our intention and what we know now. Our focus is on AsciiDoc the language, and aligning Asciidoctor core with it once it gets defined.

Cheers,

-Dan
