Non-English translations for captions, toc etc. (lang-XY.conf in Asciidoc)

Hi!
Is there any way how to get translated default texts like captions "IMPORTANT", "NOTE", "Figure", "Table", etc.? Original Asciidoc is looking for lang-XY.conf.

But it seems that Asciidoctor completely ignores non-English translations of the default texts.

Not yet, but I know Dan is something it has on mind, maybe for 1.6.0 or beyond I don't know the planning.

I've filed an issue to introduce language files that Asciidoctor can load and use instead of the hardcoded values in the document.rb class (see https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoctor/blob/master/lib/asciidoctor/document.rb#L255).

It's possible to control most (if not all) of these labels today, we just haven't formalized the system to key off the lang attribute and select a translation mapping automatically. That's the purpose of the issue.

For now we simply translate the in the document header or overwrite them via the maven plugin. Here is an example for a german translation of the common strings:

:toc-title: Inhaltsverzeichnis
:caution-caption: Achtung
:important-caption: Wichtig
:note-caption: Hinweis
:tip-caption: Tipp
:warning-caption: Warnung
:appendix-caption: Anhang
:example-caption: Beispiel
:figure-caption: Abbildung
:table-caption: Tabelle
