Asciidoctor Maven Archetype

wwerner
Hi there,

I rolled asciidoc-backends and Dan's dzslides fork into a maven archetype. I like to ease Asciidoc adoption among tunnel vision Java developers I work with. Both projects are embedded as git submodules to make updates easy.
The archetype contains an example document & example slides to get people started.

If you are interested, take a look here: https://github.com/wwerner/asciidoctor-archetype.

I just found out about Jmm's maven archetype on this list. Perhaps it makes sense to merge both archetypes, what do you think? That would give us PlantUML, PDF, dzslides & other backend support out-of-the-box.

Thanks to Alex for his support.

Take care,
Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,

This is great. It would indeed be a nice idea to merge both archetypes and build something together. I still have two improvements to do on the docbook/PDF pipeline following Dan's comments. But I had to put this work on the back burner as "paid work" has priority. I worked on the office related asciidoctor archetype and used it as I have been assigned to an important and interesting project.

So we could give it a swirl together...

Jean-Marc,

Great!

I'll have a look at your archetype and try to integrate both.
Will need to find the time as well, though.

I'll come back to you once I put something together.

Take care,
Wolfgang
