AsciiDoc(tor) & Fedora

gour
Hello,

I'm Linux user since '99 and use several Linux distributions during all those years and "discovered" Fedora only few days ago. (

Now f25-beta is on my netbook and very soon I'll migrate my main (desktop) machine from Debian Sid.

I like its docs and, afaict, it is done using DocBook toolchain, but wonder if there is some plan to make it possible to contribute docs using AsciiDoc(tor)?

Hello,

I think you should ask the Fedora team but we will for sure help them to migrate from DocBook to Asciidoctor :)

Well, I hoped there will be more info considering that @mojavelinux is at RedHat.

Moreover, there is no need to say that writing docs in DocBook makes me quite unenthusiastic for the job. :-)

Nope, I haven't been at Red Hat for over 3 years. That was the birth of OpenDevise. However, I do stay in contact with many teams from Red Hat and I know many of them have already switched or are considering switching to Asciidoctor for docs.

In fact, there was a post recently about adapting Asciidoctor for the needs of Fedora docs. See:

Cheers,

-Dan

Ahh, OK.

That’s great to hear. Btw, I’m *very* happy with Fedora (f25). ;)
